This is me – Stan Jewhurst. I’m a Consulting Engineer with Cisco Systems and currently in training in Brussels. I graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2011 with a Master’s Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering after completing a thesis on the fabrication of source/drain contacts on n-type Germanium.
Now that the boring stuff is out of the way…
I’m 23 years old and obsessed with technology. I own an iMac 21.5″ along with a host of other Apple products, an Alienware laptop and couple of other cool bits of tech. Most of the images that I post here are taken with my Digital SLR – a Canon EOS 450D with a standard 18-55mm F3.5 – 5.7 lens (I can’t afford a better one). Also to come my way is a Canon IXUS 220 HS which will probably feature wildly in this blog as it is a lot more portable than a DSLR.
I love gaming – mostly FPS and RPG’s although I have recently been getting into strategy and PvP games. I used to be a long time World of Warcraft player but have given it up to focus on other projects and to actually play some different games.
I’m into Metal music, mainly Death and Grindcore although I love to chill to some Classical or Jazz/Swing (Miles Davis, Bobby Darrin etc)
Writing and Photography are interests I really want to develop as a long term dream of mine is to write for a technology blog (or own one) and review new gadgets and technology. I have a few friends who help me along with this project, either with graphics, ideas or just moral support and proof-reading So thanks to Jonny, Greg, Kendal, William and Bill who are always about when I need a hand.
