Working: Like A Boss

This is the Cisco campus at Green Park in Reading. We have a had a week for truly excellent weather for March in the UK and being able to take a sunlit stroll around the lake at lunch time while eating ice-cream is just incredible. Interesting to find something so peaceful so close to the M4.

Cpt. Awesome

I hate printers…

Dealing with printers on a day-to-day basis is something I really really despise. I really feel that paper is a dying business as far as large enterprises are concerned and that the transition to digital media is well overdue. As a result I decided to make my daily experience with printers that little more enjoyable by changing my name in the job queue – I was incredibly surprised it worked…

I really love this stuff, although its stupidly expensive over here in Brussels. Like…€3 a can! Beer is cheaper, but isn’t as good for grinding CCIE..

While I’m here, updates should be coming a bit more regularly from next week on. It’ll be iPhone pictures I’m afraid to say but I will try and do the best I can. I refuse, however, to use Instagram.

Tagged.

Pass this on my way home everyday from work and was finally able/remembered to take a picture of it. The tag appears to be based on the punisher logo and is just one example of some of the very creative tag work to be found along the railway tracks in Brussels. There is, of course, a lot of rubbish too but the artistic stuff is normally pretty good.

So very rainy.

So very rainy.

I think this picture sort of personifies my day. I didn’t sleep well, I was late getting up but early to the train. I had very little to do in work and when I did it was complicated, I was 15 minutes late for a meeting which my director was taking (thankfully it hadn’t started) and to top it off as I left work the heavens opened and I got soaked to the skin in the 3 minutes it took me to walk from work (you can just see it in the distance on the right) to the train station.

So a grey picture for a gray day. Sorry this one is a bit depressing but should have something more interesting tomorrow.
