I promised this a couple of months ago and now I am finally happy to deliver! Happy Monday folks!
Dealing with printers on a day-to-day basis is something I really really despise. I really feel that paper is a dying business as far as large enterprises are concerned and that the transition to digital media is well overdue. As a result I decided to make my daily experience with printers that little more enjoyable by changing my name in the job queue – I was incredibly surprised it worked…
So, when I created the photoblog, I wanted it to give a bit of an insight into my life as well, which is where today’s picture comes from. While it doesn’t show off my photographic skill, it does show off how inventive we can be when we really want something to work.
These are two Cisco 3560 48-port switches. One with a broken power supply, one with a broken mainboard. We thought we could swap the power supply from one into the other, to create one working box from two dead ones – but we needed to test it first.
BEHOLD!
This arrived on Tuesday and shall be forevermore carried in my pocket/bag/whatever I have with me. I use it as a reminder that I take this blog seriously and that with every snap I will in some way improve my skills. Full photo coverage to come soon.
Kendal got me a kindle for Christmas this year – which is interesting because I got her one last year! However it really has re-kindled (ahem..) my love of reading as it just makes it so much more accessible to me. Trains, metro or even just sitting at my side. I love it so much.
