Rochefort No. 8
This is a pretty famous and rather awesome beer I found while out shopping. I only had one bottle but googling around I discovered its scored incredibly highly on most tasters lists – generally in the 95-100% area. ‘Trappistes’ beers are popular because they are abbey brewed beers, brewed by proper monks and usually finished off in the bottle for a few months.
This particular beer was ruby red and very rich. It was lovely to drink and although I’m in no way a beer critic, I felt it was a head above the rest (pun intended).
