Green Park

Working: Like A Boss

This is the Cisco campus at Green Park in Reading. We have a had a week for truly excellent weather for March in the UK and being able to take a sunlit stroll around the lake at lunch time while eating ice-cream is just incredible. Interesting to find something so peaceful so close to the M4.

A while ago Mr. Shields, an esteemed friend of mine, challenged me to photograph something that was architecturally interesting. I was tempted to find a cool CPU and take a picture of that, as for me that is the most frequent use of the word architecture. However, when I was in Reading I came across this and thought it fitted the bill pretty well. Enjoy J!

Just water under the bridge

Under the bridge…

Decided to shoot some night time images in Reading while I had time to spare on Tuesday night. Some weren’t so great given that compacts aren’t amazing in low light conditions, but I quite liked this shot given the water was moving and the rest was stationary.

0-60 in..

Vrrooooomm…

Thanks to Cisco, I got a lovely new Polo to drive.  =) The clutch is far to light though…

Tagged.

Pass this on my way home everyday from work and was finally able/remembered to take a picture of it. The tag appears to be based on the punisher logo and is just one example of some of the very creative tag work to be found along the railway tracks in Brussels. There is, of course, a lot of rubbish too but the artistic stuff is normally pretty good.

The-Workspace

The Workstation

It’s rare I use black and white in images – as I rule I tend to think its a very overused effect. However, I was experimenting today and liked the contrast in this image. I think the fact that my desk is clean for once also really helps the light in this image. Anyhow, this is where I work, every evening after work and most weekends too. Featured you shall see many things including:

  • 21.5″ iMac
  • iPad
  • Creative Fatal1ty headset and mic
  • Some After Eights (mmm)
  • a 3TB Seagate Firewire 800 drive
  • CM Storm Gaming Mouse & Razer BlackWidow Mechanical Keyboard
  • iPhone 4

So you’re probably thinking – Wow, what a total Apple fanboy. And to an extent its true, but I do love my PC hardware – its just impossible to ship a 65cm, water-cooled beast of a PC over here – so the iMac replaced it. In saying that see the next post to discover what is to replace my 13.3″ MacBook Pro..
